Chapter Sixteen

“Come with me, you fucking bitch.” Tom’s harsh tone hisses against my ear as I feel the cold metallic press of his gun against my temple.

Panic slithers down my spine as I look at my best friend. Needing her help but wanting her to get away at the same time. Terror grips my throat as the gun is pointed her way. Hot tears leak from my eyes as Tom squeezes me too tightly.

Now, I’m running for my life. Kate’s hand grips mine as we make our mad dash for escape.

Almost there.

Pain rips through my body as a bullet burns through my shoulder. Dark-red blood blooms across my chest before I collapse. Tom stands over me. His hateful gray eyes turn blue within a blink.

Musty sheets cling to my sweat-soaked skin. My panicked eyes fly all around me as I try to move. Nothing works. I’m a prisoner in my own body. Pain courses between my legs as my air is cut off. His hand covers my mouth and nose. “I can’t breathe!” I scream internally.

“You asked for this.” Jason’s harsh words rake across my skin like a million fire ants.

No! No! No!

He pushes harder on my mouth and holds my wrists so tight I think I’m going to break soon. I can taste hot tears clogging my throat as I whimper. He pushes into me, ripping and tearing as he takes his pleasure.

“You’re going to be okay!” Damon roars over me, trying to stop the blood from coming out of my chest.

White-hot pain lashes my body as he pushes against the wound.

“I’ve wanted you for so long, beautiful,” Jason grits above me as he slams into me over and over again.

“Don’t do this to me, Jill. Stay awake!” Damon shouts as I close my eyes again.

“I finally fucked Jill Brookes.” Jason leers down at my abused form.

“You deserve all of it. You deserve every minute of this!” my own reflection yells at me from the mirror I glare at.

Surrounded by my vomit and tears, I scream.

My own hateful gaze scowls back at me, I scream.

A bullet rips through my shoulder, I scream.

Chocolate eyes begging me to stay, I scream.

“Jill!” Damon yelled down at me as he shook me from my nightmare.

My throat was raw as I whimpered and came to. My arms held firm in Damon’s clasped hands like he was stopping me from hitting him. I kicked wildly and tried to get away from him.

“Let me go!” I screamed, tears streaming down my face, clogging my throat.

Damon released me with worry in his eyes. I scrambled away from him and fell off the bed, landing on my hip with a hard thud. I cried out at the pain that radiated through me before I scooted away from the bed. I watched as Damon lunged out of bed in his rush to get to me.

“Stay away from me!” I wailed as I scrambled into the bathroom before slamming the door and locking it. I crawled to the toilet before I emptied the contents of my stomach.
